THE EVENT
Step Out is an annual walk-a-thon held throughout the country. Fund raised from the events goes to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for research, information, and advocacy. This signup page is specifically for the San Jose Walk which will be held on September 27, 2009 (Sunday morning) in Downtown San Jose, California.
OPPORTUNITIES
At the San Jose Walk, we have many volunteer opportunities including route monitors, route marking crew, rest stop staff, first aid staff, parking lot monitors, drivers, amateur radio operators, food services, registration staff, and entertainers. Although we cannot guarantee specific position, feel free to tell us about your special skills or equipment that might help the event. There is a place in the signup form for that purpose.
Time committment for most positions is between 7 am to 1 pm. You will be given the actual time and place after you signed up.
